Prowling through town~ (Open)

Ever since talking with Lou, Moira's concern regarding danger in Siren Cove has increased to the point where she feels obligated to make her rounds in her cat form, determining to find out what she can from the cracks in between people's conversations. She feels a little strange as she performs the transformation spell, though she can't quite explain why. The oddity of the moment passes almost as quickly as it arrives, and soon, Moira is on her paws, meandering through alleys and streets with the ease of a stray cat.

She hears talk, of the usual sort, oh the town curse is returned, Thorntons versus Coombs, etc. She pays no mind to those conversations, having already heard what she needed of them when she was a child. She tunes instead into the whispers about Corrine, questions about how Siren Cove's biggest star could go missing. She pounces onto garbage cans and fire exits, following various conversations until she reaches dead ends.

Regardless, she told Lou she'd help in any way that she could, so she refuses to back down.

OOC: Find Moira anywhere in town, as a cat, lurking and sniffing for clues.

Riley kneels down and coos at Flavia, gently petting her head and back to calm her down. The cat relaxes, sitting down by Riley's foot, distracted by scratches.

She looks up and sees a window. "Looking for Corry?" she whispers, careful not to let anyone know where they are.

"Mew," Moira affirms, nodding her head. She waits a moment before shaking it, to tell Riley she's found nothing so far. She wonders how Lou is doing, if Val managed to get her out of the police station and in a place to rest. She eyes Flavia carefully, making sure not to make any sudden movements.

"Damn. It's weird, Corry just disappearing out of nowhere. I hope she's okay." Riley attaches the leash back onto Flavia, who proceeds to sit down and lick her butt like she could care less about Moira. "I think she knows your different," she adds with a grin.

Moira has to grin, as much as she can as a cat, as Flavia dismisses her from any role of importance in terms of the world of cats. But her expression turns serious again when Riley mentions Corry. This, of course, being the reason for Moira being on the prowl, so to speak.

She smiles because she can tell when Moira's smiling even as a cat, which would be weird to most people but completely normal in their little slice of the world. She reaches out and scratches just behind Moira's ear. "You're working hard, aren't you? Val's taking care of Lou, and you're out looking for Corry. This town's gotta take a break from the weird already. "

"Mew," she nods as she answers Riley, purring when she scratches behind her ears. Moira has to admit, she loves being in her cat form, especially on a night like this, when she's seeking information. She feels so much more at liberty to do so when most people pass her by as an ordinary cat. She also delights that Riley is one of the few to know her as a cat.

"I better get Flavia home before Val starts worrying about us. Be careful, Moira. There's some strange things going on around here." She gives Moira's chin a quick scratch before getting back to her feet, brushing off her knees. "Don't forget to go home and eat okay? You'll be famished after your transformation and all this running around."
