A careless beast was bleating that the air behind was breathing. {Open}
As soon as she listens to Amelie's voice mail message, Moira feels guilt and anger wash over her. Of course, Fabrice was bound to realize the truth of everything, everything he knew before the attack and the cause of said attack to begin with. She knows, currently, he's still holed up in that hotel Amelie brought him to, shutting himself away from the world and trying to come to terms with what happened. Moira's visited to make sure he's eating, and to put extra spells and wards around his room; she also managed to sneak in his cats to him, which at least brought a smile to his face. She hurts, still, seeing her cousin like that, cocooned in blankets and with a face whiter than the moon.
It fuels her now, as she pulls various books and ingredients from her cabinets and bookshelves. She has everything set up on her coffee table, parchments and instructions, as well as the wand she barely uses anymore. She is not hesitating to pull out all the stops; she wants Violet to hurt, as much as she can cause hurt to a mother who also happens to be one of the most powerful witches in town.
"Fuck," she mutters, clenching her trembling fists by her sides. She has to keep herself from rushing things; honestly, she could set fire to her mother and feel no remorse, as her emotions currently stand. Her stomach churns, with morning sickness, she suspects, and she winces, hating that she has to balance her pregnancy with everything else going on right now. She sets her face in a stern line and resumes her work.
OOC: Find Moira at home, working on...rather intense magic as she plots to strike back at her mother. She probably needs someone to talk her out of doing anything stupid.

But Moira could, she could scry or just use her phone. Where the heck had Aoife lost her phone?
"Moira?" She knocks the door. "Hello? Do you maybe have time to help me?"

"What's up Aoife?" She says, making her way to the front door, straightening out her shirt against her jeans.

She could have went around the town another time. She should not worry so fast.
"Is Amelie with you?"

He makes the short drive to Quill to pick up an order of sausage and egg breakfast burritos and a iced peach tea for Moira and a Italian roast for himself. There was something about boyfriend duties James had always reviled in, the handful of times he found himself in relationships. He liked taking care of people, a trait carried over from his mother, who doted on her kids often with all their favorite things. He was crabby, a grumpy spoilsport, but he wasn't shy with his actions when it came to people he truly liked.
Luckily for Moira, she was very high on his list as of late. And he wasn't positive how she was feeling...A part of him was possibly afraid to ask. All of that--the pregnancy--still was very scary territory.
Still, he drives over to Moira's cottage, glad to find signs that she's home when he pulls into the drive. He carries the food and drinks up to the door and gives a quick knock. He stands on the stoop, looking around on her porch, at the view of the ocean, water practically merging with her front yard, thinking about how maybe he should've called. Maybe they weren't at drop by unexpectedly stage yet...

She doesn't remember much of making it to her front door, forgetting even to put down her wand, when she opens it and greets her boyfriend.
"Well, fancy meeting you here," she says, finding him a welcome distraction from her busy mind.

His mouth lingers against hers a few seconds. He is happy to find this morning that there's little remaining apprehension on his part over this, over them. The beginning of their relationship had fizzled somewhat when it came to physical interests. For James, they had just taken up with each other so sudden, a train coming both ways, crashing together, something completely out of character for him that he had quietly just backed off. He needed time to sort through his emotions, and he also didn't like feeling out of control around Moira. Even if he liked her. He needed to trust himself because he just wasn't someone he readily jumped into things with people. He needed time to understand if he truly liked her. Or if it was just lust over something forbidden, something he wasn't supposed to have. Now that he could honestly say it wasn't, that he had feelings for her that went beyond attraction, he felt more at ease.
Good thing Moira hadn't seemed to mind. The pregnancy news too probably made them both more mindful of just hopping off into bed again. How much did they even know about each other really? James didn't mind taking things slow even if they couldn't go back and change what happened. Maybe they didn't need too, he thinks, as he moves back, smiling at her. "I would've called, but I was already on the way," he says, sipping his coffee because he desperately needed his caffeine fix. He steps into the house, allowing her to close the door, and waits for her to show him inside, as he's never been inside her house before today.

"Well, it's fine," Moira says, realizing that she hasn't actually shown James her house yet. "Pardon the appearance of the living room," she says as she leads him to it, down the hallway and past her small kitchenette. "I was in the middle of magic, as you can see."

He isn't completely sure what being in the 'middle of magic' entails exactly, but he might as well sit down. He lifts the bag of food off Moira's hands, taking a seat on her couch. Her house was small and cozy, smelled like lavender as she often ddid, and he finds himself immediately comfortable in his new surroundings. He pulls out two wrapped burritos and a couple packets of salsa. He lays out one for her and takes the other for himself. Since he wasn't used to waking so late in the day, he is starved. As he undoes the foil so he can eat, he glances back at her.
"What exactly are you doing?" he asks, using a fork to distribute salsa over his burrito.

"Plotting revenge against my evil, sadistic mother," Moira says as she reaches over for her burrito and bites right into it, because, really, what else can she say?

She freezes when Nerium mentions her 'condition.' "I don't know what you're talking about."

She'd picked up a few of Moira's favourite cupcakes from the bakery in town and headed up to her cottage to see her. The rumour mill had begun working overtime regarding a certain Thornton police officer and Lara had a mind to get all the gossip before the visit was over.
She knocked on the door, smiling at the little garden and bending down to smell a rose.

"Lara, hey!" She greets with a grin, though her voice is tired. She brightens at the cupcakes instantly. "And you've brought the way to my heart, excellent."

Moira grimaces, rubbing her hand against the back of her neck. "It's extremely complicated, come in and I'll make some tea or something and tell you about it."

"Not really," she says, gesturing towards the state of her living room, magical debris spread across the coffee table. "My mother attacked Fabrice and he just realized it last night." She might be avoiding the pregnancy news, but Moira really is concerned for her cousin.
