Moira's just at the edge of one paragraph of her book when she hears the voice of a child exclaiming nearby. Curious, she lowers her novel to catch a glimpse of a boy and his father approaching.
Between the feeling of the sand between her toes and the lethargy of laying in the sun, she finds herself rather in the mood to indulge the kid.
"It's fine," she says with a knowing smile. "I'm kind of hard to miss, at this point."
